2017 Syrah

Vineyard:

Clone: PT23, own rooted- Vines planted in 2001.

The fruit is sourced solely from the warmest Block in Lonestar Creek Vineyard, Upper Yarra Valley.

Winemaking:

Winemaker: Robin Wood (with help)

Total crush: 23 Dozen – Progressively crushed whole bunches over ten days; open tank wild yeast fermentation.

Maturation twelve months on lees in used French Barrique (225l), Full malolactic fermentation

No fining or filtration, contains sulphites

Bottled 15 April, 2018.

Tasting Notes:

An easy drinking cool climate Rhone style wine. Red current and white pepper spicy aromas. A soft mouth filling mid weight palate with a lingering finish.

Perfect with meaty pastas, roast pork and blue cheeses.

Vegan friendly: no animal products used
